Exfoliate and treat. Once a week, use a facial scrub or even sugar to gently rub onto the palms and backs of your hands. This removes dead skin cells and reveals the softer skin beneath.
Step2
Do not abuse nails. For some, it is tempting to chew nails and/or the cuticles. It's time to break that habit. Also, use another instrument to open pull tabs on cans, or for scraping surfaces. Protecting your nails will keep them from breaking or tearing so often.
Step3
Protect skin. Wear rubber gloves when washing dishes or cleaning house. Exposure to harsh chemicals can really wreak havoc on your hands' appearance. Apply hand cream before donning the gloves, and when the job is done your hands will come out looking soft and smooth!
Step4
Manicure. About once a week, check your hands to see what they need. Clean out under the nails, and trim and shape them with a nail file as needed.
Step5
Daily care. When you wash your hands, use a nail brush to keep the nails clean. Apply hand cream to keep your hands and nails moisturized, especially if you wash your hands often.
Tips & Warnings
Treat cuts with the works: clean the wound, apply antibiotic cream, and bandage. You will less likely be left with a scar.
