Are you a new Mom and having difficulty getting your new baby to stop crying? Well no worries, here is a few things you can do that will more than likely stop them from crying.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Warm bath
  • Infant Motrin
  • Your two legs
  • Rocking chair
  • Radio

Step1
Hailey just a smiling away.... Being a new Mom and Dad can be very frustrating at times. I know first hand since I myself have seven children, the youngest being only 5 months old. Keeping her from crying is like second nature to me, but for you new parents can be a really trying and frustrating time. The first thing you need to do is get yourself a rocking chair. This allows the baby to get use to one specific movement that actually calms them down a lot when they are cranky or have colic.
Step2
Hailey in her exersaucer.... Next if the baby is cranky, walking around will usually calm them down. If this does not work completely, turn up the radio and walk around the room with them. Babies focus on noises, and the music tends to allow them to focus on something other than screaming.
Step3
If your baby is holding up her/his head with no problem, then buy them an exersaucer. No matter what anyone has told you, there is nothing wrong with sitting them in these at 3 months old. All you need to do is roll up a baby blanket and put it around them for support. This allow the child to do something. Their little brains are on overdrive and all they want to do is learn, learn, learn. Give them the ability to do so.
Step4
And last but not least, laying them on their tummies across your legs, rocking them back and forth is the best way to quiet down a baby who is just hysterical If colic is the reason for the crying, this allows the gas to be released and take the pressure off the little ones tummy.

Tips & Warnings

  • Try everything possible to keep them happy.
  • Do not get angry with your baby
  • You will know the difference between a hurt cry, a hungry cry, and just a mad cry.
  • Take other parents advice when offered.
