Want inspiration for your writing but not sure where to look? You don't need to look any further than the amazing writing already here! Look at the wonderful efforts being produced by others and let that motivate you and inspire you to also do the same.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Time to look around and read other articles on eHow
  • Enjoyment of writing
  • Personal knowledge and experiences

Step1
Read widely in areas that are of personal interest to you on eHow. You will likely find people with very similar interests to yours (befriend them!) and you will also get an idea of their techniques and styles that could inspire you to feel confident to write also.
Step2
See the different ways that other writers use. Some write many steps, some write a few. There are writers who add pictures and some who go the whole way and also add a video. Do you have the time and resources to add a video or does simply writing fit with your interests and abilities?
Step3
Ask for suggestions. If you really like the topics and style of a writer on eHow, let that person know and ask if he or she can offer you some ideas on going about your writing. Perhaps ask them if they could suggest writing topics in the area of interest that they think need writing still.
Step4
Be original. Make sure that your work is all your own when you do sit down to write. It helps to plan out your thoughts first so that other people's thoughts are not interrupting and trying to drown your own ideas. What you know is special and unique and it should shine forth.
Step5
Write your article. If you are adding images or videos, you will need to make them too. Sometimes it can help to write, save and go and make the photos or movie and then come back and edit what you have written as the photos or movie might shape some of what you write.
Step6
Drop a note to the eHow writer or writers who inspired your own writing. Let them know how they inspired you. It could be the start of a wonderful friendship!

Tips & Warnings

  • Keep a notebook, either on your computer or in real life and note down ideas as they come to you. The ideas might be things such as how to get started/motivated, topics to write about, topics already written but that you could springboard new articles from on specific issues not yet covered and ideas that other people and experiences give you from everyday life.
  • Never copy! This is known as plagiarism. What you are seeking is inspiration and motivation, not to steal somebody else's efforts, words and creativity. Think of it this way - you'd hate it if somebody did that to you, so don't do it.
