Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Find a farm from the Florida Christmas Tree Association. The website provides a map of area farms that grow live Christmas trees, and some tree farmers set up shop around Orlando during the holiday season. Find out where and when the nearest tent or stand will be coming to your neighborhood!
Step2
Get in touch with a local landscaping company. Alpha Focalpoint Landscaping in Orlando offers live Christmas trees, and you can visit their display right after Thanksgiving for the season's best picks. Call (407) 290-0843 for more information.
Step3
Drive down Central Florida Parkway after Thanksgiving. Many Christmas tree farmers and vendors set up large tents along Central Florida Parkway during the holiday season. Just drive down this stretch to find your perfect match!
Step4
Visit the neighborhood home superstore. From Lowe's to Wal-Mart, the larger superstores offer an assortment of real Christmas trees shipped from various locations around the country. Head to these if you can't track down the right fit from area vendors.
Step5
Head to Winter Park. This town is just 20 minutes north of Orlando, and local vendors offer a number of small and large-sized Christmas trees throughout the season. Visit the Farmer's Market on the weekend for an even larger selection.
