How to make spinach egg drop soup

During the cold winter months, I find it fitting to serve soup once in a while. Here's an easy spinach egg drop soup that will truly have you melting.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 cans of chicken broth
  • 2 handful of spinach
  • 2 eggs (beaten)
  • 1/2 cup onions, chopped
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  1. Step 1

    In a stock pot, pour the 2 cans of chicken broth and boil.

  2. Step 2

    Then mix in the chopped onions and let it cook until it's is soft or clear.

  3. Step 3

    Next, slowly pour the beaten eggs while you are mixing the soup with a wooden fork or wooden spatula in a circular motion. The point is to keep the eggs from forming together. Keep the circular motion going even after the eggs are all poured in.

  4. Step 4

    Mix in the soy sauce.

  5. Step 5

    Finally, place your spinach in the stock pot and cover. Turn off the heat and let stand covered for 5 minutes.

  6. Step 6

    Sprinkle salt and pepper to taste (optional)

Tips & Warnings
  • Do not leave the spinach cooking for long as it cooks easily.
  • Contents will be very hot.
