How to Control Your Big Mouth

Do you realize that you often hurt feelings of others because stupid things fly out of your mouth? Do you embarrass yourself often because of the things you say? Is your marriage starting to suffer because your spouse is sick of your mouth? Here are some tips on how to be on your way to big mouth recovery.

Instructions

1. Exercise self-control by stopping yourself before you say anything. Run your words through your own special thought scan and ask yourself, is this positive, helpful or encouraging? Don't rationalize your negative words by saying "they need to hear it." There is a positive way to say everything.

2. Write down positive things on a piece of paper and chant them everyday out loud. The more you chant them the more they will stick. For example, "My husband is a hard working, helpful man, not a fat bum"; "My best friend's style is her own and it doesn't hurt me if her style is not like my own."

3. If you can't make what you want to say be positive, then shut your lips and throw away the key!
