Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Things You’ll Need:
Step1
Recognize that the path needs to be changed. If your life has been unsatisfactory thus far, it may be time for a change. Once upon a time you ventured into the woods to create your own unique path. Time has worn that path into an easy to follow dirt road so finding a new won't be easy. Think about some things you continue to do that you know you shouldn't and focus on one at a time.
Step2
Be conscious of the choices you've made and vow to make new ones. Once you become aware of the path it will be easier to alter it. Awareness acts as a reminder for you to make a different choice. By focusing each day on what it is you want to change your subconscious mind will be on alert for the signal.
Step3
Stick to your new path. Become familiar with each new choice you make and feel confident with it before you decide to focus on something new. For example, don't start dieting a week after you quit smoking. Don't start dating right after you get out of a dead-end relationship. Give your mind time to get used to the newpaths you've set out to create.

on 6/9/2008 Love this inspiring article. I like the tip to "change one thing at a time" because that's really the key. Somehow, we get so wrapped up in the status quo and our lives take on paths of their own, it seems.
I like this article as it encourages us to grab ahold of the reins of life and forge a new path.
Thanks.
