How to Speak Klingon

"Star Trek" maybe a fictional show and the actual race of Klingons do not exist but the language is very real. Webster recognizes the language created originally for the widely popular show and it is actually possible to learn it and speak it in everyday life. Here are steps in how to speak the Klingon language.

Things You’ll Need:

• Klingon dictionary
• Conversational Klingon audio tape
• Klingon language classes

1. Get familiar with the language by logging on to the Klingon Language Institute official website. There is where you can read journals and join in discussions.
2. Buy the Klingon Dictionary (published by Pocket Books, Simon and Schuster second edition with new addendum 1992). Read over it everyday and mentally think about the words you use in your everyday life in Klingon.
3. Pick up the Klingon learning audio tape, "Conversational Klingon" and listen to it as much as you can. This tape will help you pronounce the language.
4. The Klingon language is very difficult and I highly suggest you find a Klingon language class near you. Having a teacher to guide you and assign you activities will help.
