With so many multimedia options available, the types of guest books out there are countless. So do a little research, think about the happy couple and create a guest book that's sure to impress guests and wow the bride and groom.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Things You’ll Need:

  • Internet
  • Craft Books
  • Input from bride and groom
  • Wedding magazines

Step1
Think about the couple and find out if there is any kind of theme to their wedding. Determine whether they are more appreciative of books, picture frames or unique home accessories. Evaluate how much can be spent on a guest book and how you can make the signing of the guest book fast and easy.
Step2
Now get creative. One idea is to go to a craft store and buy a mat photo frame that will display their engagement photo and can be signed by guests upon entering the reception. Make sure to provide color-coordinated markers for a crisp contrast.
Step3
Borrow a Polaroid camera and snap photos of guests as they arrive. Have each guest write a little congratulations note at the bottom of their photo. At the end of the day, gather the photos and place them in a photo album.
Step4
Purchase a small sapling in a portable pot and have it next to the entrance of the reception center. Cut out paper flowers that guests can write on and attach with ribbons to the tree. The tree can be planted at the couple's home and the paper flowers can be slipped into a photo album.

Tips & Warnings

  • Though there are a million guest book ideas out there, pick one that really fits the couple's personality
  • Many people want to get creative with guest books, but remember that you want to make it as easy on the guests as possible. It doesn't do any good to go all out on a guest book if no one signs it because they either don't understand what they should be doing or don't want to sign it because it takes up too much time or will force them to leave the action of the wedding.
