How to Get a Stand Up Set at the Comedy Studio in Cambridge, Massachusetts

Boston may not be a town best known for its comedy scene, but the Comedy Studio in Harvard Sq. is an exception. This stand-up comedy club is both a great locale to catch some stand up or, if you are a working or beginning comedian, to perform a set in front of a smart and enthusiastic audience.

Things You'll Need:

• 5 minutes of your stand-up routine on VHS/DVD or posted on the Internet

1. Contact Rick Jenkins, the owner of The Comedy Studio, at [e-mail]. Tell him that you are interesting in obtaining a 5-minute set at the club.

2. You will be asked to mail or drop off your tape at the club or to provide the link to your 5-minute set for approval. Rick will tell you where to send it.

3. You will hear back from Rick with a yes or no, and the date and time of your slot.

4. On the night of your show go to the Comedy Studio which is 1238 Mass Ave. above the Hong Kong Restaurant in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
