Step 1
Avoid driving your car. Traffic around Yankee Stadium and all of New York City is a nightmare. Also due to the new stadium's construction, several of the parking lots will be closed.
-
Step 2
Take the subway. The 4, B and D trains from the city take passengers to a stop at the corner of 161st Street and River Avenue just outside of the stadium. There is no need to be worried about riding the subway alone at night, the train cars will be filled with Yankee fans.
-
Step 3
Ride on the bus. The BX6, BX13 and BX55 stop at 161st Street. The stop is just a short walk to the stadium.
-
Step 4
Cruise on the Ferry. NY Waterways runs The Yankee Clipper from Belford, Weehawken, Hoboken and Manhattan. The ship provides gorgeous views of the Manhattan Skyline. It also serves as a floating tailgate party with food, beer, wine and soda. The ship departs 30 minutes after the final out is recorded so no need to worry about extra inning games.
