How to Go Bowling at The Gutter in Brooklyn

The Gutter bowling alley and bar is the newest Greenpoint/Williamsburg hot spot for drinking, mingling, and throwing heavy balls at pins! It's a great destination for you and a group of friends hungry for something kitschy. Be warned: this is not your Grandpa's bowling alley!

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

• $2 for shoes
• $6 -$7 dollars for the game
• Beer money (optional)
• ID

1. Take the L train to Bedford Ave., the first stop in Brooklyn from Manhattan. Exit out onto N. 7th and Bedford Ave.

2. Walk up N. 7th (away from the subway) 1 block towards Berry. Take a Right on Berry. Walk 7 blocks till you reach N. 14th.

3. Take a Left on N. 14th. The Gutter is half way down the block.

4. After showing your ID (The Gutter is 21+) walk towards the right side of the bar to the bowling counter. The attendant will give you a number which corresponds with a display unit announcing who is beginning their game.

5. Settle back with one of The Gutter's 12 delicious tab beers and relax until you have to hand over your shoes.

• The area you will walk through, while completely safe, is a bit desolate. Use common sense.
