Step 1
Go to the SBCglobal (or AT&T) website to view various plans (see Resources below).
-
Step 2
Compare the plans offered by SBCglobal. Click the "Check Availability" button under your desired plan.
-
Step 3
Provide your zip code in the empty box under "New Customer." You may be directed to another page requiring a telephone number or physical address for the new account. Provide your location information, and wait for AT&T to make sure service is available in your locale.
-
Step 4
Make the final decision on which service plan you want to sign up to use (you can always upgrade service in the future). Click the button to proceed to the checkout webpage for the purchase.
-
Step 5
Fill in the form with your address and payment information. You can call the company to establish the new account over the telephone.
-
Step 6
Create a user name for the new account by typing the name in the appropriate box. Use an account name starting with a number to cut down on spam in the future. It may take several attempts to come up with a unique name for the account.
-
Step 7
Type in a password using a series of letters and numbers. The more letters and numbers you use, the more secure the password is.
-
Step 8
Start using the new SBCglobal (AT&T Yahoo!) email account. Email family and friends to inform them of the email account.

on 10/12/2009 I'm with soccerselders: All I need to know is how to set up an sbcglobal.net email account. (I used to have one some time ago, however, it is long since defunct.)
Also, although I can receive messages from sbcglobal.net users, I cannot reply. Please help!
Thank you!
