Step 1
Get the email address, password, type of incoming server (probably POP3), incoming server name and outgoing server name for email you want to forward to your Earthlink email address. You also need to know whether you need "Secure Password Authentication (SPA)" for the email addresses from which you want to forward mail.
-
Step 2
Open the Earthlink MailBox on your computer by clicking (or double clicking) its icon on your desktop or under the start menu.
-
Step 3
Look for the "Tools" menu at the top of the Earthlink MailBox window and click it.
-
Step 4
Scan down the list to find "Settings" and click it.
-
Step 5
Find the "Accounts" tab at the top of the window and click it.
-
Step 6
Look for the "New" button under the white box in the window and click it.
-
Step 7
Choose the option "I want to add an email address from a third-party provider (e.g., AOL, Hotmail, MSN, Yahoo!) to this identity" to add new email addresses to your Earthlink account. Click the white circle, and then click the "Next" button.

Step 8
Fill out the form in Earthlink's "Email Account Wizard." Use the information gathered from your existing email account to provide the account name, password and other information in the box to the right of each category. Next to "Type of server your account will work with," select "POP3" from the drop down menu unless you know for sure the email server is a different option on the list.
-
Step 9
Use Earthlink's server to send email by typing "smtpauth.earthlink.net" in the box beside "Outgoing Server (SMTP)." Click the "Next" button.
-
Step 10
Review the information for the existing email account on the last page of the "Email Account Wizard." Click the "Finish" button to forward email to your Earthlink email address.
