How to Create an Additional Juno Email Address

If you only have one Juno email address, you need to create an additional email address to help you manage your time better. Continue to use your current email address, but only use it for filling out online forms, joining forums and other general uses. Create a new email account and provide the new email address to people you want to hear from, like friends and family. You can also create a business account for co-workers to contact you or for your own small business. By separating your accounts, it is easier to sort through your mail to find messages you want to read.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Start Juno by clicking (or double-clicking) the Juno icon on your desktop or from your "Start" menu.

  2. Step 2

Select the drop-down menu showing your member name, and click "Create new account."

  3. Step 3

Choose a unique user name for the email account and type it in the appropriate white box. Use a combination of letters and numbers to lessen the amount of spam you receive. Try using a few numbers at the beginning of your account to slow down spam some.

  4. Step 4

Create a password using a combination of up to 12 lowercase letters and numbers. The longer your password is, the more difficult it is to hack. Avoid using common names or special dates as your password for more security.

  5. Step 5

Type your unique password in the white box beside "Password" and in the white box beside "Confirm Password."

  6. Step 6

Choose a "Secret Question" from the drop-down list of possibilities like you did to set up the original account.

  7. Step 7

Write the answer to your question in the white box beside the word "Answer." Try to use a question with an answer people who know you can't crack.

  8. Step 8

Review the information you provided to create an additional email address to make sure it is correct, and then click the "Save" button.

  9. Step 9

Send an email from your old email account to your new email account. Access your new email account to make sure the email arrived.

Tips & Warnings
  • You must use a Premium, Turbo or Megamail Juno account to add additional email addresses.
  • While Juno allows you to make a password consisting of only three characters, you should use at least six characters for a more secure password.
  • You can set your primary Juno email account up to access all of your other Juno accounts from one email interface.
