How to Change Your Juno Email Password

Juno was one of the first companies to offer free email to people on the Internet. With a track record of over a decade, Juno has always stayed on top of the latest trends and user-friendly options available for email. One very important option for any email address is the ability to change the password on the email account. You can change the password on your Juno email account within a few minutes by filling out an easy form.

Instructions

1. Visit the My Juno website (see Resources below).

2. Provide your "Member ID" and "Password" for the Juno email account you want to change. Click the "Sign In" button beside the "Password" box.

3. Look for the "Change Password" button or link. You may find the option to change your password on a tab at the top of the page, or you can use the "My Account" tab at the top of the page, depending on the version of Juno you use.

4. Enter your account name in the box under "Member ID." Don't enter your full email address--just type the name of your account located before the "@" symbol of your email address.

5. Type in your password again in the box under "Current Password."

6. Add your new password in the box under "New Password" and in the box under "Confirm Password." Your password can be any combination of lowercase letters and/or numbers 3 to 12 characters long. Use letters and numbers to create a strong password.

7. Apply your changes by clicking the "Submit Your Request" button at the bottom of the form.

8. Wait for Juno to process your request. You should get a message saying "Your password has been successfully changed."

9. Check your Juno email account using your current member identification and the new password to make sure it works properly.

Tips & Warnings

• Change your email password every 3 to 6 months to make your account more secure. You can rotate several passwords over the lifetime of the account.
• It may take up to 15 minutes for your new password to take effect, depending on how busy the system is at the time of the request.
• Make sure you change to the new password in the external email program you may use (for example, Microsoft Outlook).
• If you feel someone has learned the password to your Juno email account, change the password immediately and don't use the compromised password again in the future.
• Don't give your email password out to anyone at any time for any reason.

on 8/17/2008 okay, i just received verification from juno that you can NOT change your password online anymore! you must install their software, & change it using their software.

on 8/17/2008 nice instructions. it's a shame juno doesn't let you change your password anymore, they only tell you how to request your current one! see what i mean by going to their "change password" url:
