Step 1
Check your computer's hard drive to see how much free space you have. While the Eudora Mail software is not all that large (approximately 17MB), running the Eudora Mail client will also tap into your system's virtual memory. It is recommended that you have at least 1GB of free space available.
-
Step 2
Connect to the Internet to start your sign up process.
-
Step 3
Visit the Eudora homepage (see Resources below). Find the "Email Software" heading, and select Eudora Mail for Windows or Mac.
-
Step 4
Select the "Free Download" option for sponsored service, or click on the "Windows Eudora" or "Mac Eudora" links to get paid access to Eudora Mail.
-
Step 5
Follow the simple prompts to download the Eudora Mail software onto your computer. Expect that this step may take a few minutes, depending on the speed of your Internet connection.
-
Step 6
Open the Eudora Mail program. You can choose to customize your installation (recommended for advanced users) or simply opt for express installation (recommended for novice users). Choose a directory in which to store the Eudora Mail program files, and decide whether or not you want the program to create a desktop shortcut automatically.
-
Step 7
Read and agree to the "Terms and Conditions," and restart your computer when prompted. Eudora Mail will ask you whether you want to restart your computer automatically following the completion of the Eudora Mail program installation.
-
Step 8
Run the Eudora program, completing any registration information you are asked to provide. You should then be automatically redirected to your new Eudora Mail inbox.
