Instructions
  1. Step 1

Connect the Quicken program to your individual bank accounts. You'll need an Internet connection to take advantage of this feature. Quicken will guide you through the process of linking your home computer to your various bank accounts.

  2. Step 2

Manage your finances by configuring Quicken to track your income and expenses. You can manage your money by the week, month or year. Quicken will compute the differences and keep track of how much money you should have after all bills are paid.

  3. Step 3

Pay your bills through Quicken. Configure Quicken to link with your credit cards, utilities and wireless providers, and you can pay all of your monthly bills in one place.

  4. Step 4

Use Quicken's calendar feature to pay bills. Configure the program to send you reminders of bills' due dates or pay them automatically. This can reduce late fees.

  5. Step 5

Pay your yearly or quarterly taxes through Quicken. The program runs in partnership with TurboTax, an online tax preparer. Compute your taxes, uncover deductions and submit your finished tax return electronically.

  6. Step 6

Link Quicken to your PayPal account to manage and scrutinize your online purchases. Quicken can also manage payments made to you from other PayPal accounts. This can be helpful for people who run online businesses or buy, sell or swap items on eBay.
