Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

As an opponent attempts an righthanded uppercut, place your left foot forward to balance yourself. Block the uppercut by bringing your left forearm down on his forearm as it rises to strike you. Lean forward slightly as you deliver the block.

  2. Step 2

Punch your opponent in the abdomen with your right hand, which will force her to double over toward you. Use your lower position to deliver the punch upward. Allow your body to rise with punch until you are standing over your opponent.

  3. Step 3

Bring your right arm around the outside and over the top of your opponent's neck in a guillotine choke hold. Complete the choke by grabbing your wrist with your left hand, tightening the choke hold.

  4. Step 4

Step down on your opponent's right foot with your right foot before you attempt the rice bale throw. Put the ball of your foot against the instep for balance and to deliver the most pain to your opponent.

  5. Step 5

Sit down suddenly while pulling your opponent toward you, using all of your weight to gain momentum toward the ground. As your opponent starts to fall on top of you, use your right leg to push him up and over your head.

  6. Step 6

Roll over onto your knees, and place your opponent in another guillotine choke hold while he is on the ground. Use your stomach to keep your opponent pinned. Make sure one of your opponent's arms is pinned underneath his body to prevent him from striking you.

  7. Step 7

Practice the rice bale throw with a sparring partner until you can do the technique fluidly.

Tips & Warnings
  • The secret to a successful rice bale throw is to fall backwards suddenly before your opponent has a chance to regain his footing and his balance.
