Step 1
Grab your opponent and pull him toward your body. Make sure that your footing is solid by placing your right foot forward if you are flipping your opponent onto your right shoulder. Do the opposite for a left-shoulder throw.
-
Step 2
Pivot your body away from your opponent with a quick twist. As your back turns toward your opponent, bring your outside arm underneath his armpit and bend your knees.
-
Step 3
Throw your outside arm around to the front of your body, locking your opponent's arm across your torso. Push your outside foot until it extends behind the feet of your opponent. This will add more leverage for the throw.
-
Step 4
Pull your opponent's arm forward with all of your might, causing his entire body to flip over your shoulder. Once your opponent is in the air, shift your arm to his hip. This will help you to complete the flip and cause your opponent to land on the mat even more forcefully.
-
Step 5
Drop down with your own body, so that your opponent will roll easily over your shoulder. This may cause you to lose a little balance during the throw, but you can use the momentum to roll quickly over your opponent as he hits the ground. Release your grip as you do this, pulling your arm away from its locked position across your abdomen.
