Things You'll Need:
- Set of discs
- Golf bag
-
Step 1
Visit the Professional Disc Golf Association website for their online pro shop (see Resources below). They have some of the best merchandise available anywhere. Finding disc golf equipment in smaller towns can be difficult.
-
Step 2
Leave room in your bag to expand your set. Even though you may only use three discs now, down the road you may decide that you want all those specialty discs, so choose a bag that can accommodate them.
-
Step 3
Pick a disc golf bag that has a side pocket for a water bottle and a place to put other items, such as car keys and your cell phone. It's important to stay hydrated while you play.
-
Step 4
Pick a bag with an outside hook for a towel. During play, discs often become dirty and/or wet and require toweling off before a proper throw.
-
Step 5
Consider a bag with handle and wheels if you will be spending many hours on the course. This will reduce the strain of carrying the bag around with you.
-
Step 6
Pick a disc golf bag that suits your level of play. If you only use three flying discs there is no sense purchasing an enormous, heavy bag. Pick one that is small and light instead.
