So you finally meet a guy you are attracted to...how do you know if you are the only one who is interested? Here are some guidelines:

1. Gather some background information. Is he married? Is he straight? Etc.
2. Ask a friend for help. Sometimes it helps to have a neutral third party opinion.
3. Look for the signs: he holds eye contact, he teases, he touches his face or rub his eyebrows, he feels comfortable enough to share personal space, he gives you something or remembers details about you.
4. If all else fails ... Just ask!!! After all we are in a new millennium. You have to decide is the possibility of rejection worse than not knowing.

Tips & Warnings

• Don't go overboard on the flirting until you have done your homework. This could save some unnecessary embarrassment.
• If you do ask, make it a joke or keep it light hearted. For example if he does something flirty say "I can't tell if you are just being funny or flirting"! If he says "funny" you can say "just checking". Keep smiling.
• Smiling, holding doors, or picking up something you dropped are not indicators of attraction. It may just be that his mother raised a gentleman.
