A quick and simple way to get you dog to come when called.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Dog (of course).
  • Lots of their favorite treats.
  • Patience.
  1. Step 1

Call out your dog's name and any command you want to use for 'come'. Since I'm Greek, I say it in Greek, 'ela'.

  2. Step 2

Basically what you are going to do is bribe your dog to come.

Hold out his treat and let him come to you.

  3. Step 3

Once they come to you tell them to sit down and then give them the treat and show them affection.

  4. Step 4

Repeat each step for a week and then test your dog without any treats.

If they learned they'll come when called. If not just keep practicing.

Tips & Warnings
  • Only praise when they do it right.
  • Practice all the time and also do it randomly.
  • Do not hit or yell if your dog does not get it. It will cause them to become unstable and not trust you at all.
  • It takes time. Just keep practicing.
