How to easily remove wax from carpet

If you've spilled any amount of wax on your carpet, don't worry! There is an easy way to remove it without any stains.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

• SPOT SHOT Carpet Cleaner
• Towel
• Vaccuum
• Butter or plastic knife
• Hair comb

1. Allow wax to dry.
2. Use knife and comb to gently break up and remove as much wax as possible. Vaccuum up excess clumps of wax during this process.
3. Liberally spray SPOT SHOT carpet cleaner on wax spill.
4. Let the cleaner sit for a few minutes then use comb to remove wax. (Be aware that it is a cleaning product and you should avoid contact with the product as much as possible. If rubber gloves are available, they are recommended for people with sensitive skin. Wash hands well afterwards.)
5. Rub with towel and repeat. Use vaccuum to continually remove excess wax.

Tips & Warnings

• I used this method because I did not have an iron or brown paper bags. This is an excellent alternative, but I can not say which one works better because I have only tried this! SPOT SHOT is made by the same people as WD40 and I have used it for many other stains on my carpet. I highly recommend buying this product!
• SPOT SHOT is a cleaning product and contact should be avoided as much as possible. If rubber gloves are available, I would recommend them - especially to those with sensitive skin. Wash hands well after process or immediately if burning occurs.
