This a very unique company that uses the carbon the we are made of to be added to the creation of a diamond. These are very attractive created diamonds that will have a very personal sentimental value.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Lock of hair or
  • Ashes from cremation

Step1
Go to
http://www.lifegem.com/
Select which kind of kit you are interested in, either a diamond from ashes or a lock of hair.
Step2
You will need to fill out order forms, select your style of Lifegem Diamond. Complete payment information and how excess remains will be handled.
Step3
Separate out NO MORE THAN 8 ounces (about 1 Cup) of the cremated remains and tightly secure in a plastic bag or other plastic container. DO NOT send all of the remains unless you have chosen our additional scattering option or return option. They only need 8 ounces to produce all of the LifeGem diamonds on your order.

on 1/29/2008 I had heard of this, but always wondered how to do it. Yes, it might seem weird or strange, but I think its a way to create a keepsake of that person you have lost. Great article.

on 1/26/2008 This is such a great idea to have someone so close to your heart. My grandmother had a diamond added to her ring that was my grandfather after he passed. So may think it is creapy but I think it shows honor in what you had that you would want someone so close to you all the time.
