Do a test run before you begin cutting. Wrap the gift wrapping paper all the way around the longest part of the box until the two sides meet. let the paper over lap by a half an inch or so.
Step2
Make sure there is enough wrapping paper to cover the sides of the box completely.
Step3
cut the desired amount of paper.
Step4
lay paper on a flat surface with the decorated side down.
Step5
place the box in the middle upside down
Step6
take one side of the wrapping paper and pull it along the longest side of the box until it reaches the middle. Tape that piece to the box.
Step7
Grab the other side of the wrapping paper. it should overlap the taped side because you allowed an extra half inch (remember?) Tape that side down on top of the other already taped wrapping paper.
Step8
Right now you should see each side of the untaped area sticking out.
Step9
THIS PART IS IMPORTANT!!! Turn the box until one of the untaped areas that is sticking out is facing you.
Step10
Take one of the sides (not the top or bottom) and pull it inward as if you were closing it to the box. The top piece on that side sill start to crease. Use your finger and crease that side completely on the top. Repeat on the other side. don't touch the bottom yet.
Step11
Bring the center of the two creased edges down. if it folds down past the end of the box, cut it until it is about 2/3rds down (a little more than half way down the box). Tape it.
Step12
Flip box over and repeat the bottom part (which is now the top).
Step13
Do the other side. and you are done.
Step14
If you followed the directions I am sure you did a splendid job.
