Things You'll Need:
- A sense of adventure
-
Step 1
Check out the men's department at Bloomingdales. Looking for a single guy in NYC who likes clothes and can afford to buy the good stuff? Then ladies, you gotta go to the men's department at Bloomies. Take an hour or so and just stroll the aisles and check out the merchandise that are buying the merchandise.
-
Step 2
Head to Barnes & Nobles. Want a guy with a head on his shoulders? Then check out Barnes & Nobles (especially the one on 67th and Broadway). They have a huge selection of books and a cafe where you can nurse a cup of coffee, skim through the books and check out the guys checking out the books.
-
Step 3
Go to Home Depot. Don't know a screwdriver from a wrench? A hammer from a drill? Well, that's perfect! Home Depot, the mecca for men who are good with their hands (wink, wink) is the perfect place to hook up with men who are good with their hands (wink, wink).
-
Step 4
Hang out at a pub or sports bar. This is one where you'll probably have to grab a few single female friends to go with you but with the amount of men who hang out at these places, there'll probably be enough guys to go around for everyone. And a love of sports is really not necessary. It's quite certain that you're bound to meet a few sports fans who would love to explain a home run to you.
-
Step 5
Hang out at Starbucks. Love coffee? Well, so do a lot of single guys in NYC. So bring a newspaper, buy a cup of joe and maybe you'll be lucky enough to meet a cutie named Joe.
-
Step 6
Take a class at the Learning Annex. And no, not the class on how to knit or make soda bread. Why not take a class on how to improve your finances or a class on computers. It's always good to learn something new and you may just meet someone who will be willing to teach you a few things themselves.
-
Step 7
Join a gym. Want to get in shape and meet someone to admire it? Then the gym is the perfect meeting place for you.
-
Step 8
Take your doggie to the dog run. Many a relationship has begun while watching Fido have fun at the dog park. So, if you don't already have a dog, adopt one from the ASPCA (or offer to walk a friend's dog) and head straight to your local dog run and see who catches your heart.
