Are you struggling to lose weight? Why not substitute green tea for those high calorie soft drinks? It's an easy and delicious way to lose weight.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • green tea bags or loose leaf green tea
  1. Step 1

    Purchase loose green tea leaves or green tea bags to your daily green tea. Studies have shown that drinking green tea can help to boost your metabolism and promote weight loss.

  2. Step 2

    Eliminate soft drinks from your refrigerator and replace them with green tea. Carry green tea with you in a thermos when you leave home to avoid buying soft drinks out of the vending machine.

  3. Step 3

    Drink you green tea unsweetened or add a no calorie sweetener to taste.

  4. Step 4

    Sip green tea frequently throughout the day to maintain high levels of the polyphenols which help to boost your metabolism and promote weight loss.

  5. Step 5

    Do this on a daily basis and you should start to experience gradual weight loss. It helps if you combine green tea with a healthy diet and exercise plan.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can buy decaffeinated green tea but the caffeine may have a synergistic on weight loss which makes it desirable if you can tolerate it.
  • You'll need to drink 5-6 glasses of green tea per day to get a significant effect on weight loss. If you're unable to do this, consider taking a green tea supplement available at your local vitamin store.
  • Avoid bottled green teas since they tend to have lower levels of polyphenols and often have added sugar and calories.
  • Never add milk to green tea since the casein in the milk inactivates the polyphenols. Soy milk can be used since it has no casein.

on 2/14/2008 I replaced my daily sodas with a weight loss tea from www.silverleaftea.com and it has worked. I am sure part of the weight loss is the removal of soda from my diet, but I feel better than I have before when I did not drink soda. The tea really helps a lot, not just for weight loss, but also for general well being.
