Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Metal lunch boxes (sold at craft supply stores)
  • Scrapbook paper
  • Embellishments
  • Cutting tools
  • Adhesive
  • Corner rounder
  1. Step 1

Cut your papers to fit the front and back of the lunch box and then cut paper strips to cover the sides.

  2. Step 2

Use the corner rounder to round the edges of your paper so that it fits well with the lunch box design.

  3. Step 3

Glue the paper onto the lunch box to cover any areas you want. Typically this would be the front, back and sides of the box. You don't have to cover the entire lunch box; you can leave a border around the paper. Use adhesive that will not bubble or wrinkle your paper. Some people like to use modge podge, but beware it is not acid-free. There are other adhesives that will work well that are acid-free and memory safe.

  4. Step 4

Embellish the box. Use stickers, stamps, ribbons, paper flowers, stickers, brads or other embellishments to decorate the lunch box and make it distinctive. Use a strong adhesive to hold the embellishments so they don't fall off easily and get lost in transport.

  5. Step 5

Add some pizzazz by tying ribbons around the handle for a decorative dimension.
