Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Step1
Location is a huge part in finding a child care facility. You do not want to base your decision on location alone. However, having the convenience will make everyone's day easier. So first check out facilities that are near your home or near your work. It will serve you in many ways.
Step2
Research is essential when finding a child care facility. It is imperative to search all resources such as web sites, books, and pamphlets. You also must go by word of mouth around town. The information you are looking for won't always be posted on a company website. So ask around the community to get a sense of how others rate the child care facilities you are looking into.
Step3
Visiting the facility is extremely important. Do not just pop in and speak with the representatives. Ask to come during regular work hours and observe. This is where you will be leaving your child or children for hours during the day. You can not spend enough time observing.
Step4
Discuss all of your concerns with the staff. Let them know if you have any reservations. Give them an outline of what you are looking for. Do not be bashful. Keep in mind that this child care facility will be looking after and caring for your child. Make sure that they are able to answer any and all questions that you might ask of them.

on 4/13/2008 I defiantly agree word of mouth is the best way to learn how good a child care facility is. I would also recommend contacting your local economic security office for ratings or for a list of facilities in good standing.
