Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Things You’ll Need:
- A computer
- An internet connection
- A website and a squeeze page
- A way to accept payments online
Step1
Find an information product to sell, or create your own.
Step2
Find a hosting service to host your website. I like 110mb because they are free and do not have forced ads. However if you end up with a lot of traffic, you will have to upgrade to their paid service or move your website.
Step3
Purchase a domain name. Bravenet has domain names for $8 a year.
Step4
Set up a squeeze page on your website. A squeeze page is your sales letter about your product.
Step5
Set up a way to take payments online. The best route when you are just beginning is Paypal. You can set up purchase buttons on their website that allow people to purchase your products and the money is deposited in your Paypal account.
Step6
Set up a squeeze page for a product to give away, and have a sign-up form at the bottom so that those who would like the product sign up for your mailing list before getting it.
Step7
Get an autoresponder. Autoresponders are wonderful little programs that will respond automatically to anyone who fills out your sign-up form on your free product squeeze page. You can set up all the messages ahead of time, and then periodically add messages as the need arises. These save time and money and there are several free ones available.
Step8
Add your squeeze page to as many social bookmarking websites as you can. I use Onlywire because it allows you to bookmark your website to several places at once.
Step9
Submit your website and squeeze page to Google, Yahoo and any other major search engines.
Step10
Blog about your product and point readers to your squeeze page. Add your sqeeze page to your links.
