If you need spiritual inspiration during the day, you can call on the verses of the Bible to provide it. Memorizing the longer passages may be a challenge, but you can do just that by employing a simple memorization device.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Bible
  • Pen or Pencil
  • Notecards
  1. Step 1

Go through the Bible and compile a list of your favorite verses. Choose passages that apply to your daily life.

  2. Step 2

Write down each verse on a notecard with the book, chapter and verse on one side and the words to the verse on the other side. Preapare a stack of notecards, like a deck of cards.

  3. Step 3

Each morning, fan out the deck, written side down, and pick a notecard at random. Carry it with you throughout the day.

  4. Step 4

Any time during the day that you have a few spare seconds, pull out the notecard and read the verse. By the end of each day, you'll have one more verse committed to memory. If you can't recall the verse successfully, carry the card until you do.
