The best place to find a comic book character’s first appearance is at the Comic Book Database website at www.comicbookdb.com.

Once you’ve gone to www.comicbookdb.com you must search for the comic book character you are looking for. There are two ways to find information about a comic book character. The first option is to type the character’s name in the Search function. The second way to search for a character is to click on the “characters” section under “Browse.” In the “characters” section characters are listed alphabetically so click on the letter that the character’s name starts with and then find the character you are looking for.

Each character on in the Comic Book Database has a Bio, including a section that lists their appearances. You can either look at a character’s list of appearances by comic book or you can click the “View a chronological listing of this character’s appearances” option to see all their appearances in chronological order.
