And 20 minutes later you're still hearing why all restaurants should be banned and by now she's in tears! You would like to reply ..." Okay who are you and what did you do with my wife!?"

Things You’ll Need:

  • PATIENCE, LOVE, EDUCATION, UNDERSTANDING, AND SUPPORT FOR HER.
  • SECOND, to understand the symptoms she's probaby feeling.
  • Irritability
  • Crying/Sadness
  • Anxious/Panicky
  • Tenseness
  • Dis-interest
  • Confusion
  • Forgetfulness
  • Anger
  • Concentration difficulty
  • Paranoia/Fear
  • Changes in desire for intimacy
  • Decreased self esteem
  • Sweating,Dizziness,Joint and muscle pain, Appetite changes, Nausea, Cold sores, Acne, Fatigue, Migraines,Cramping,Trouble sleeping, Back pain, Breast pain, Swollen ankles, Bloating, etc.

Step1
PMS Pre Menstrual Syndrome. 80% of women experience these symptoms.
A collection of Physical, Psychological, and Emotional symptoms that are related to a woman's menstrual cycle. It occurs usually 2 weeks before the Menses. The symptoms may vanish after her menstrual flow begins. It could become severe enough to keep her home from work; etc.
PMS IS NOT A NORMAL PART OF A WOMAN'S CYCLE.

YOU WILL NEED TO UNDERSTAND A WOMAN'S CYCLE.
A woman's cycle is every 23 to 35 days. On average every 28 days starting from the first day of her period clear through to the first day of her next period. The Pre menstrual SYNDROME takes place before this but can last throughout it.
Step3
CAUSES
The menstrual cycle directly involves the female organs, however the brain' s pituitary gland and body chemicals called hormones also play an important part in this event. Low levels of Serotonin, a chemical in the brain is a contributing factor.
Doctors still don't know the exact causes of PMS but they do know the hormones are fluctuating.

THINGS THAT CAN HELP
Exercise,
Nutrition - Low sugar,
Decreased caffeine and alcohol,
Relaxation,
Calcium,
Ibuprofen,
Sunlight,and
Avoiding stress before onset of PMS...It aggravates it.
Step5
WHAT YOU CAN DO
Be prepared
Ask what you can do to help her
Remember: When Menstruation begins, the PMS calms down.
Help take the edge off of her. PMS is also not always recognized by her when it's happening to her.
Never joke about PMS with her. EVER! Even though she might joke to find ways to deal with it at times, it is still a painful process.

on 3/21/2008 I'm glad my family is understanding about this. I get hit hard. But knowing it, I usually warn them with a tactful "I'm sorry... my body is under attack again so just ignore me for a day or two." LOL Then they usually just laugh it off instead of taking things too personal and it helps keep me in check instead of letting loose on everyone.
