Things You'll Need:
- Time to experiment
- clips
- bobby pins to match your hair color
- hairspray
- mirror
-
Step 1
First, you need to curl your hair. (See my article on how to achieve curls without frizz http://www.ehow.com/how_2172897_curl-long-hair-products-use.html )
-
Step 2
Hair curled styled with poof in front.Once hair is curled, you need to style the front of your hair however you desire. Try making a small poof, side swept bangs, or hair parted to the side.
-
Step 3
Twisting hair into a bun. Now, if your hair is long, twist into a half-bun so that ends are positioned over bun, and long enough to fall down over it and cover the bun.
If your hair is shorter, simply put hair into a ponytail. -
Step 4
Hair is clipped above the bun.Clips the ends above the bun so that they'll fall down over the bun. (Remember to leave enough of the ends to easily cover the bun)
If you're doing it with a ponytail, just flip the ponytail up and clip hair.
You can use one large clip or multiple small ones. If you use several small ones in a line across the back of your head, the curly bun will be wider. -
Step 5
Pinning hair under bun and into bun.Pin hair with bobby pins under and into bun. Be sure to pin all strands so none are left loose hanging down.
If you have your hair in a ponytail, just pin hair against your head. -
Step 6
The end result!Once curls are all pinned the way you want them, pin up loose hairs and wispys. Now spray the whole thing, and enjoy your beautiful updo!

on 8/25/2008 I love this hairdo, my hair is 20 inches long and sometimes I put one or two curls for my poof and let a few pieces fall to frame my face. Very cute. you can keep the curls for a few days if you put a bit of hairspray on before curling.
