Kids love entertaining foods and snacks. Moms love healthy snacks for their kids. Edible butterflies can be a fun, healthy snack that will please both moms and kids. They are easy to make and yummy to eat. Let your children make an enjoyable treat to snack on today.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Celery cut into 2” to 4” pieces
  • Pretzels (2 pretzels)
  • Pretzel sticks
  • Cheese spread
  • Raisins or M & M’s
  1. Step 1

    Wash and cut your celery sticks.

  2. Step 2

    Spread your cheese spread into the middle of the celery stick.

  3. Step 3
    Cute creature and yummy to eat.

    Add the raisin eyes and use your pretzel sticks to make the butterfly antennas (you may need to break them in half).

  4. Step 4

    Use the pretzels (original twisted pretzels) to act as the butterfly’s wings. Set your creature out on a paper towel or plate to assemble.

Tips & Warnings
  • To add a little sweetness to the snack, use M & M’s for the eyes instead of raisins.
  • Mix it up a little by using different types of fillings for your butterfly’s body. You can use cream cheese, Old English cheese spread or peanut butter for the filling.
  • Make it a fun activity for your child to assemble their own butterfly and create a one-of-a-kind snack.
