Need a quick and easy way to remove permanent marker from most hard surfaces? Try an antiseptic wipe from the medicine cabinet or emergency kit.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • One or more antiseptic wipes containing isopropyl alcohol.
  1. Step 1

Tear open an alcohol based antiseptic wipe from the medicine cabinet or emergency kit.

  2. Step 2

Using moderate pressure wipe vigorously over the marks you want to remove.

  3. Step 3

Repeat with fresh wipes as needed if the mark was not completely removed. Large or stubborn marks require more wipes.

Tips & Warnings
  • As long as the wipes are moist they still have alcohol in them and are effective. Alcohol evaporates very fast though and will dry out quickly after the envelope is opened.
  • The alcohol wipes will leave no residue so no further cleaning is required.
  • As with any chemical avoid breathing the fumes or touching your eyes or mouth while using.

on 1/4/2008 I started using this one a long time ago and it is so easy to come by in any first aid kit that even if the kids find a marker in the car your sure to find the cure nearby. Thanks.
