Pottery Barn Kids is a popular children’s store that features furniture, room décor and accessories, and unique toys. If you love Pottery Barn Kids--but not the sometimes hefty price tag--then you should check out these tips on how to get deals on your favorite items.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer with Internet access
  • Good credit, to apply for store credit card
  • Telephone
  • Transportation to stores and outlets
  1. Step 1

Find an outlet. Did you know that most Pottery Barn Kids returned items get shipped directly to their outlet stores? That, coupled with brand new overstock items, makes for selection of deals at their outlet stores. There are currently 9 Pottery Barn outlet stores in the United States. Some of these outlets feature standalone PB Kids outlet stores, while others have a section in the regular Pottery Barn outlet devoted to PB Kids merchandise. Some of the best deals at the Pottery Barn Kids outlets are on furniture. Most items in the outlet are 40 percent off the retail price. If you don’t have a PB Kids outlet near you, call one of the outlets listed below to see if they have an item you are looking for.

  2. Step 2

Wait for the clearance sales. Pottery Barn Kids has semi-annual clearance sales--and you can get off to 75 percent off the regular price on select merchandise. The best way to keep an eye on PBK’s sales is to check their website regularly. Click on the Sale link, then Clearance. Of course, it’s always risky to wait for an item to go on a sale--PBK is known for selling out of popular items, and once an item is gone--it’s gone!

  3. Step 3

Get a PB credit card to earn merchandise credit and occasional coupons. Pottery Barn and PB Kids have an incentive program associated with their store credit card. First time credit card users get a 5 percent rebate off of their first purchase. After that, PB offers reward points and certificates to their account holders.

  4. Step 4

Visit the store and the website for sales. Many people are familiar with the Pottery Barn Kids catalog, but check out the PB Kids website and retail stores for more items. The retail stores sometimes have merchandise that is not available online--and there is always a different selection of sale and clearance merchandise. You can sometimes even find a scratch and dent item in a retail store. When looking for specific PB Kids items at a discount, it pays to shop around!
