This is a family favorite recipe that is fun for kids to both make and eat. Be warned--so yummy and bite-sized, they are dangerously addicting.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Miniature peanut butter cups
  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1 large mixing bowl
  • 1 small mixing bowl
  • 1 mixing spoon
  • 2 small spoons
  • 1 mini-muffin cooking tray
  1. Step 1

Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.

  2. Step 2

Sift flour, baking soda and salt together in the small mixing bowl.

  3. Step 3

Combine butter, vanilla extract, white and brown sugar in the large mixing bowl until smooth and creamy.

  4. Step 4

Add eggs to the large bowl and beat well.

  5. Step 5

Slowly add the flour mix and beat evenly.

  6. Step 6

    Stir in the chocolate chips.

  7. Step 7

With the 2 small spoons, scoop the cookie dough into the greased mini-muffin tray. Fill each cup about 3/4 full.

  8. Step 8

Using a spoon or your thumb, push in the center of each cookie-dough ball in the muffin cups. You want the cookies to cook with a dip in the middle (so you can fit a peanut butter cup in there later).

  9. Step 9

Cook for about 8 to 10 minutes. While the cookies are in the oven, unwrap the miniature peanut butter cups (1 for each cookie).

  10. Step 10

When you take the cookies out of the oven, you want to let them cool for a quick minute, but you don't want them to cool enough to harden. Take a peanut butter cup and slowly push it into the center of a cookie, in the muffin tray. (You need to go fast because once the cookies cool too much, it's hard to get the peanut butter cup in. But, you have to go slowly when adding the peanut butter cups because the chocolate will melt from the hot cookies.)

  11. Step 11

Let the cookies cool a long time (sometimes it helps to refrigerate a little) and then very carefully remove from the mini-muffin tray with a butter knife. Serve and enjoy!
