Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize. You need to moisturize from the inside as well as the outside. Drink plenty of water and frequently use moisturizers on your skin. You don't need expensive products, petroleum jelly, conditioner, mineral oil, shortening, lotion or cream will help.
Step2
Take a shorter, cooler shower. You'll also be helping the environment. Hot water removes the skin's natural oils more quickly than warm water does.
Step3
Use mild soap. Some antibacterial or deodorant soaps can strip your skin of its oils. Use a mild, gentle soap on your skin.
Step4
Put some of the moisture back into the air in your home by running a humidifier at night.
Step5
Cover your face with a scarf or mask to help protect it from the wind and cold. Cotton is preferable to wool.
Step6
Use sunscreen all year around. The sun's rays penetrate clouds, fog and can be especially misleading in the snow. Always use sunscreen to prevent wrinkles as well as skin cancers.
