We all will get a white head from time to time. This is just a minor infection in the pores of our skin (usually found on the facial area) which has become filled with white blood cells to push out the infection. Fortunately extracting this infection so the swelling on the pores can be reduced is a very simply process.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • White head or pustule
  • Fingers
  • Antibacterial soap
  • Slight tolerance to pain

How to Properly Extract a White Head

Step1
Locate the white head. This should be simple enough to do, as most people get pimples on their faces and quickly notice their location.
Step2
Disinfection area with antibacterial soap. Before extracting the white head or pustule, wash the area with antibacterial soap.
Step3
Extract the white head. Using both your hands, apply pressure to the bottom part of the pustule using both your index fingers. Push in slightly until the white blood cells break the surface. Keep applying pressure until the fluid exiting is entirely clear.
Step4
Wash your hands and the area. Once you have completed the extraction wash your hands thoroughly and rewash the area that you made the extraction in order to disinfect.

Tips & Warnings

  • Keep a tissue nearby so you can wipe the extraction once you have completed it.
  • Try not to pinch too hard, this could damage the skin and cause it to take significantly longer to heal.
