No matter what age you are, it’s always awkward to ask your folks for cash. Remember, the worst thing they can say is “no” so it never hurts to ask if you really need it. Here’s how to make the awkward conversation a little easier.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging

Step1
Explain to your parents how hard you have been working lately. Site specific strides you have been making towards your goals and express that while they may have not been financial strides, there has been progress nonetheless.
Step2
Ask them if there would be any way they could help you out.
Step3
Give your parents a specific amount you need and tell them what exactly you need it for.
Step4
Give them a specific date of when it will be returned in full or tell them how much you plan on paying them a month.
Step5
In the end, even if they loan you $5 it’s still $5 more than you had before the conversation. And if they give you nothing, you haven’t lost anything!
