How to Start a Coupon Clipping Club

About six months ago I joined a coupon clipping club called the Clip & Save--and have saved a lot of money networking with the women in my area. Some benefits of having a coupon clipping club are that you can trade coupons with others so that you always have ones you need, others are on the lookout for deals, and it's fun!

• Coupons
• People eager to save money
• A little time each week

1. First, you need members. My club is made up of moms and dads that have children going to my daughter's head start. Your club can consist of family, friends or co-workers. You don't need many people. Just a few will work.
2. Then, you need to find an on-going source for your coupons. Online is the best place to find coupons because you don't have to pay for a newspaper subscription. Just Google "coupons" and you will find all the coupon sites you will ever need. Coupon.com is a great one.
3. Next, figure out a time each week when you will get together. It can be at a home or a coffee shop.
4. Make sure that someone gets the sales papers from the local stores so that the club can troll them for coupons and sales.

Tips & Warnings

• You can get a subscription to a major city's Sunday paper to get a large amount of traditional coupons. The club members can split the cost of the subscription.
• Spread the word that you would like any coupons that others don't want for your club. Even if people don't want to join your club they will probably give you coupons!
