How to create a quote banner.

Create a quote banner for your myspace page, website or any other space you have on the wed.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Photoshop 7 or higher
  • A good quote

Step1
File>New. Make the dimensions 432 x 144.
Step2
Start with a white back ground. Click Layer>New>Layer and name this one Blue lines.
Step3
While on the Layer named lines go to the tool box and right click on the shape icon. When you the see the list click Line tool. Once that is selected got to the Swatches and pick a blue color.
Step4
Blue Line Place the cursor on the edge of the canvas while holding Shift click and pull the line across the page and then stop.
Step5
Multiple lines You can now duplicate the line so you don have to keep drawing individual lines. Just go to the Layers palette and right click the go to duplicate layer. Then go back to the layers and readjust each line to look like notebook paper.
Step6
Pink Line Once that is finished using the same steps to create the blue lines create a pink line that will go horizontal.
Step7
Quote After that is finished you can go to Layer>New>Layer and then name that layer TEXT. Type in your quote. Click save as gif or jpeg and there you have it.

Tips & Warnings

  • Choose any quote you like.
  • Make any background you like.
  • This how to is for those with at least a basic knowledge of Photoshop.
