Trying to stay within your wedding budget can be tough. Even the tiniest details can add up to a lot! Here is one detail of your wedding where you can save quite a bit of money with these inexpensive wedding favors.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • votive candles
  • tulle circles
  • thin ribbon
  • thank you tags or favor charms
  1. Step 1

Pick up the supplies for your inexpensive wedding favors at your local Michaels Craft store. Check your weekly ads for coupons!

  2. Step 2

Go down the wedding isle and pick up tulle circles, white or ivory is good but you can do with other colors depending on your wedding colors. In the same isle, you can find either tags or charms that say "thank you". Purchase however many you will need for all your wedding guest favors. Pick up some thin ribbon that matches your wedding colors.
Go to the candle area and purchase votive candles in either your wedding colors or white/ivory.

  3. Step 3

To assemble your homemade wedding favors, place a votive candle in the center of a tulle circle. Gather the edges of the tulle up above the candle and tie with a piece of ribbon. Slide a thank you charm over the ribbon, and then tie a bow.

  4. Step 4

Get these done quick by enlisting your bridesmaids and whoever else is willing to lend a helping hand. You will have these wedding favors done in no time!

Tips & Warnings
  • The best way to get these done is to have help. Form an assembly line and have one person assigned to each step. You'll have all your favors done in no time!

on 1/7/2008 That is a wonderful idea. I only wish when I got married, almost 10 years ago, there were a Michaels in my city to do this awesome suggestion.

on 1/5/2008 This is a great idea and the smell is so wonderful. Little cheesy sayings on paper punched and laced with ribbon make great favors for any kind of party. Try this one on for size, "You light up my life."
