How to Eat Cobra Heart

Even in the world of extreme-eating, snacking on the heart of a cobra stands out as more extreme than most. This Vietnamese specialty is often prepared in a variety of ways: some hearts are even served while still beating, and others are drunk with a glass of rice wine. Many people compare it to eating a sort of oyster.

Instructions

1. Obtain a live cobra. If cobras are not readily accessible in your neighborhood, your next best bet would be to find a backstreet bar somewhere in Vietnam where this meal is served.

2. Behead the snake, and drain its blood into a glass.

3. Extract the cobra's heart and kidney.

4. Gulp down both the heart and the kidney, like you would an oyster.

5. Chase the organs with a shot glass of the cobra's own blood.
