Decorating the Christmas tree by oneself can turn into quite a chore. It can be time-consuming as well. However, involving your kids in making the ornaments and placing them on the tree can make time pass more quickly and merrily.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Open up your paper clip to create a large S-shape from the original paper clip shape. This will be your hanger for the ornament.

  2. Step 2

With one blade from your scissors, carve four lines into the surface of your ornament as if you were cutting pieces of an orange. They should divide the ornament into equal pieces. You are only making a line in the surface so be careful not to cut too deeply.

  3. Step 3

Cover your styrofoam ball in the cloth, tucking the cloth into the ridges you carved with the scissors. This should continue the illusion of being comprised of many different sections.

  4. Step 4

Glue the cloth into place. Cut off any excess material you see.

  5. Step 5

Take the bottom section of your S-shaped paper clip and straighten it out. You will stick this end deep enough into the styrofoam ball so that it is firmly lodged inside.

  6. Step 6

Decorate the ornament with glitter or paint if you wish.

  7. Step 7

Hang your ornament by the S-shaped hook. Stand back and take a look at your beautiful creation.
