Things You'll Need:
- A computer with internet access
- Determination
- Motivation
- Become organized
-
Step 1
First find a good college and by good I mean many things, such as accreditation, degree available, cost, etc. (I will write an article on this information later, please check back)
-
Step 2
Get your own computer because you will be on it very often. You will be using the computer for homework, quizzes, tests, essays, discussions post, and contacting students and teachers.
-
Step 3
You have to be self-motivated and determined on meeting your goal, regardless of obstacles. You can't just give up and drop everything, you have to keep going. If you don't have this motivation, then online college is not for you.
-
Step 4
You have to buy a planner because you will not only be needing it, but you'll actually be using it more than you can imagine. You won't have a teacher on your face every day to remind you of things that are due, so you have to get a planner in order to remind yourself of things that are due. Trust me a planner comes very handy with organizing your school work and your life in general.
-
Step 5
You can not and should not procrastinate! This will cost you and put more stress on. It will make college life a living hell. I have done it and I know that it's not fun at all. Cramming things on the last minute will make you lose out on getting a good grade. You need time to study and you need time to write papers, don't wait until the last minute. Start as soon as you find out what the assignment is.
-
Step 6
Last, if you need help ask for it! Don't hesitate because your grade is at risk. Your teachers are paid to teach you, so do not think that they won't help. No matter how grumpy a teacher is, they have every responsibility of helping you succeed. Remember to also become friendly with your virtual classmates because they are also a great help.
