Step1
Communicate. I know it sounds cliche, but people grow apart when they stop talking. Set aside time away from the kids or the TV to talk about both the important issues and the inconsequential. Solve problems together and celebrate small daily victories.
Step2
Be physical. Fill your day with small touches, tickles and caresses to make your mate feel special, loved and cherished.
Step3
Fight clean. Everyone argues, but keep it clean and make sure you don't include personal insults, curses and old issues. Deal with the issue at hand in a caring way and don't resort to school yard taunts and insults.
