If you don't already have it, get Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0, you may need this if you're running windows XP, if you have Vista skip this step. .NET Framework is FREE! and you can download it from here. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=0856eacb-4362-4b0d-8edd-aab15c5e04f5

Step 4
Get Microsoft SQL Express from here. http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=65212
This is Microsoft's core to manage the database where FireText stores all it's messages and phone numbers. This is important as all your data is stored externally from the application so in the event of a crash you data is alway safe. -
Step 5
Connect your Motorola Cell Phone from your local GSM Provider to the Computer via your USB Cable. When you connect your cell phone to your computer Windows will say "Recognized new device" and guide you through the steps to install the appropriate driver. Once you have completed the installation you will see your Motorola cell phone be recognized as a USB Modem. If you go to your Control Panels / Phone and Modems, Choose the Modems Tab you will see "Motorola USB Modem" with the corresponding COM Port next to it. Remember that and WRITE it down!
-
Step 6
Download the FireText Software from http://www.firetext.tv. Navigate to "Products" and Click the Big "Download FREE Trial" Button. Select the "FireText System" Link and download the latest version.
-
Step 7
Once you've completed the download, double click the installation wizard and follow the steps til it's complete.
-
Step 8
Start up your "Message Display" Icon, the Icon of the TV Screen. If your TV is connected correctly to your computer the Message Display will automatically load up on your TV. If it's not correctly connected it will load up on your desktop and you will need to Hit "CTRL + ALT + ENTER" to gain control of your computer again as your mouse will automatically be hidden.
-
Step 9
Start your "Message Administrator" It will load on your primary desktop display. Goto Preferences / Device and set the COM Port which you wrote down in Step 5. Select the "General" Tab and Check the box "Send Message to Screen as Default Rule". Click OK! to Apply your changes.
-
Step 10
You can Activate your software by Choosing "File" then "Start", if the green bar along the bottom of the FireText Message Administator turns green and says "Device is Online" you have successfully setup your FireText System! Send a Text Message to the Phone number that's connected to the Software and See your Text Messages come up on the TV Screen!
